About Pitstop

Built on Experience.
Focused on Service.

I'm Joseph Libardi. I grew up around events and construction, and I saw firsthand how the big companies often missed the little things—late deliveries, dirty units, and poor communication.

I started Pitstop Portable Sanitation to do it differently. We're a local team built on accountability, precision, and pride in our work. We treat every site and every guest like it's our own — right down to the supplies we stock and the products we clean with.

Pitstop is a family owned and operated Long Island business, built on more than 40 years of experience living, working and serving our community.

Quick answers

Porta Potty Rental FAQs

Straight answers to what people ask us most about renting portable toilets on Long Island.

How much does a porta potty rental cost on Long Island?

Price depends on how many units you need, how long you need them and how often they're serviced. Tell us the town, dates and headcount and we'll put a straight number in writing — no guesswork, no surprise fees.

How many portable restrooms do I need?

A rough rule is one portable restroom per 50 guests for a four-hour event, more if you're serving alcohol or running longer. For weddings and galas, ask about our luxury restroom trailers for guest-facing areas.

Do portable restrooms come in different colors and sizes?

Yes. We offer a range of sizes, styles and colors and match the equipment to the setting. That may mean a more discreet look for a wedding or home project, or equipment that is easy to spot on a construction site or festival. Exact units vary based on need and availability.

Do you rent porta potties for construction sites?

Yes. Construction is a big part of what we do — single units through full rows, weekly or more frequent service, unit relocation as phases move, and certificates of insurance for the project file.

How often are units cleaned?

Rentals of two weeks or more include a weekly service visit. Short-term rentals are cleaned and stocked before drop-off and cleaned again at pickup, and extra cleanings can be added any time.

What areas do you cover?

All of Long Island — Nassau County and Suffolk County, North Shore to South Shore and out east to the Hamptons. If your town isn't listed on our service area page, call and ask.
